US woman coughs on food worth ₹25 lakh claiming she'd COVID; jailed

A 37-year-old woman has been jailed after she admitted to coughing on food worth $35,000 (₹25.9 lakh) at a supermarket in US while screaming she'd COVID-19 and everyone would get sick. Margaret Cirko, who was thrown out of the store by security, tested negative for COVID-19 post-arrest. Cirko apologised in court over the March 2020 incident, saying she was drunk.
