US woman jailed for killing daughter by overfeeding Mountain Dew

A US woman, Tamara Banks, was sentenced to over 13 years in jail after pleading guilty to killing her 4-year-old daughter, Karmity Hoeb, by overfeeding her Mountain Dew. The child, who developed fatal diabetes and had rotten teeth, died in January 2022. The father also pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, with sentencing set for June 11.
