US woman who doesn't drink in need of liver transplant as her body produces alcohol

Sara Lefebvre, a teetotaller from US is suffering from a condition called auto-brewery syndrome (ABS) and requires a liver transplant. Yeast in the stomach produces excessive ethanol that travels into her blood, as a result of which, she often feels intoxicated. In the past, breath analysers have found the 38-year-old to be six times over the limit, despite not drinking.
