US woman who 'killed' baby with cow milk may be released from jail

A US woman who was convicted of second-degree murder for feeding her malnourished infant with cow milk instead of baby formula while fleeing Hurricane Katrina may be released from jail. The 43-year-old woman, Tiffany Woods, who has already served 17 years behind bars, has been recommended for release from a Louisiana prison this week. Woods has three other children.
