Usher pays ₹7 crore to woman who claimed he gave her herpes

American singer-songwriter Usher has reportedly paid ₹7 crore to settle a lawsuit in which a woman claimed that she contracted herpes from him. An affidavit from the woman states that the singer engaged in unprotected intercourse despite being aware of the disease. According to California state law where Usher resides, it's illegal to knowingly transmit a sexually transmitted disease.
