Using AI to cut jobs may result in more tax: Economic Survey 2025

Economic Survey 2025 stated corporate sector needs to display a high degree of social responsibility in deploying AI. Demand for policy intervention will be irresistible if companies don't handle AI introduction with sensitivity, the survey added. The government would've to resort to taxation of profits generated from the replacement of labour with technology to mobilise the resources, it warned.
