Using scented cleaners may release trillions of nanoparticles affecting lungs: Study

Researchers at Purdue University found that scented cleaners can react with indoor ozone to create trillions of invisible nanoparticles that can penetrate into the lungs. They said inhaling these particles can result in exposure comparable to standing near heavy traffic. Researchers recommended choosing unscented cleaning products and using exhaust fans, to reduce the exposure.
