USISPF hails MARAD nod for ST LNG's $8.2 billion Texas project

USISPF welcomed the US MARAD's approval of a deepwater port licence for ST LNG's $8.2 billion LNG export project offshore Texas. Announced on October 28, the facility near Matagorda will have 8.4 million metric tonne annual capacity, boosting US LNG exports by 7-9%. Construction starts 2027, operations targeted 2029, supporting US-India energy cooperation.
