Uttarakhand to abolish Madrasa Education Board from July 1
The BJP-led Uttarakhand government will abolish Madrasa Education Board from July 1. All minority educational institutions will come under Uttarakhand State Minority Education Authority. Over 250 illegal madrasas have already been shut and all remaining madrasas will teach only the government-approved curriculum. This move was confirmed after a meeting within the Minority Welfare Department.
