'Vaccine nationalism' will prolong the pandemic, not shorten it: WHO

Calling for vaccines to be used fairly, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Friday said that "vaccine nationalism" would only prolong the COVID-19 pandemic and not shorten it. "If and when we have an effective vaccine...the first priority must be to vaccinate some people in all countries, rather than all people in some countries," he said.
