Valid issue, we are in touch with US: Govt over mistreatment of immigrants deported by US

Amid a controversy over the mistreatment of illegal Indian immigrants by US, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said this is a valid issue, adding that the government is in touch with US officials regarding this. "This is an ongoing discussion, not a one-time conversation...We've always emphasized that people should be treated fairly and with dignity, including those being deported," he added.
