VAR penalty helps Sweden mark World Cup return with 1-0 win

Sweden captain Andreas Granqvist converted a penalty awarded by the video assistant referee (VAR) to help his team defeat South Korea in a 2018 FIFA Group F match on Monday. The match was Sweden's first in World Cup since the 2006 edition. Further, this was the first time since 1958 that Sweden won their opening match in a World Cup.
