Vashi doctors save 68-year-old after stroke, cardiac arrest

Doctors at Fortis Hiranandani Hospital, Vashi, treated a 68-year-old woman who developed a cardioembolic stroke followed by a life-threatening heart rhythm disturbance during one hospital stay. She underwent emergency mechanical thrombectomy, prolonged CPR with over 15 defibrillation shocks and AICD implantation. Following multidisciplinary treatment, she was discharged.
