VB-G RAM G, set to launch from July 1, to offer 125 days work
The new VB-G RAM G scheme will replace MGNREGA from July 1 and increase guaranteed rural employment from 100 to 125 days per household annually. Workers will receive smart 'Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Cards' with face recognition features to improve transparency and reduce misuse. The scheme will follow a central funding model and introduce stronger planning, accountability and development systems.
