Vedanta announces demerger on May 1, to split into 5 units

Vedanta said it will split into five entities as part of a demerger, which its board approved to be carried out on May 1. The demerged entities would be Vedanta Limited, Vedanta Aluminium Metal, Talwandi Sabo Power, Malco Energy, and Vedanta Iron and Steel. Shareholders will get one share in each new entity for each share held in Vedanta.
