Vedanta Resources loses top executive amid Viceroy Research woes
Vedanta Resources, the UK-based parent company of Indian mining firm Vedanta, has lost its base metals business CEO Chris Griffith, reports stated. Griffith's departure comes amid Viceroy Research's report saying it was short-selling the debt held by Vedanta Resources. The US-based short seller also said that Vedanta Resources' structure is "financially unsustainable and resembles a Ponzi scheme."
