Vedanta to finalise location of $20 bn semiconductor plant by June

Vedanta Chairman Anil Agarwal told Reuters that the company will finalise a location for its $20 billion semiconductor and display plants in India by mid-June. "You have to create another Taiwan in India," Agarwal said, adding that Vedanta's first chip product will be ready in two years. Taiwan's Foxconn will have technical responsibility for the operation, he added.
