Vedanta was never declared highest bidder for Jaiprakash Associates, NCLAT told

The resolution professional (RP) of bankrupt Jaiprakash Associates told the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal that Vedanta was never formally declared the highest bidder in the insolvency process. An email to bidders only conveyed the highest financial value discovered during the challenge process, the RP said. Vedanta has opposed lenders' decision to accept Adani Group's takeover bid.
