Vedanta's Goa plant can't operate without environment clearance: NGT

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has said that Vedanta's mining plant in Goa cannot operate without obtaining environment clearance. The plant in the Dharbandora area had recommenced operations in the year 2019. NGT further said that such recommencement requires the grant of environment clearance even if the plant was initially started prior to the year 2006.
