'Vegetarian' crocodile that lived in Kerala temple pond for over 70 years dies

A crocodile, claimed to be a vegetarian, which had been living in a temple pond in Kerala's Kasaragod district for over seven decades died on Sunday. Hundreds of devotees paid homage to the crocodile, named Babiya, when its body was placed on premises of Sree Ananthapadmanabha Swamy Temple. The temple has no records that indicate how Babiya reached its pond.
