Vegetarian thali's cost in Aug rises to highest level in over a year

The cost of preparing a vegetarian thali at home rose to its highest level in more than a year in August, costing ₹29.5, up from ₹29.1 in July, according to Crisil Intelligence. The increase was driven by higher onion, cooking oil and LPG prices. Meanwhile, the cost of a non-vegetarian thali rose 5% year-on-year to ₹57.5 in August.
