Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy quits YSRCP and as MP, may join TDP

Amid anticipation that YSRCP would field Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy from Nellore for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, he resigned from the party and as a member of the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, 21 February. He may join the TDP this week. Reddy is a prominent industrialist and was a close aide of former chief minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
