Venezuela earthquake death toll crosses 5,000

The death toll from Venezuela's deadly twin earthquakes has crossed 5,000, while 16,740 people have been injured, official reports said. The government has withdrawn $346 million from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for reconstruction. Around 20,000 people are living in relief camps after the disaster. The 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes struck Venezuela on June 24.
