Data from the NASA-ISRO NISAR satellite revealed that twin earthquakes in northern Venezuela on June 24 shifted parts of the ground by nearly two feet. The magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 tremors struck 39 seconds apart, killing more than 5,000 people. The analysis marked the first use of NISAR’s Urgent Response system for a natural disaster.
