Venezuela hit by fresh 5.6 earthquake days after twin quakes

An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 struck off the coast of Venezuela on Sunday, days after twin quakes claimed at least 1,400 lives. The latest tremor struck at a depth of 30 km, affecting waters off the coast of Aragua. Earlier, 7.2 and 7.5-magnitude earthquakes hit northern Venezuela, causing extensive damage to infrastructure and disrupting electricity and communication networks.
