Verity loses 500 theatres in 3rd weekend despite $119M haul

Anne Hathaway's psychological thriller Verity has lost 500 North American theatres heading into its third weekend, reducing its screen count from 3,572 to 3,072. The film earned $32M in its opening weekend but fell 63% in week two. Despite nearly $119M worldwide against a $40M budget, it holds a weak 33% on Rotten Tomatoes.
