'Vertical Forest' to be built in China to fight pollution

To curb air pollution, Asia's first 'Vertical Forest' will be built along two buildings in China's Nanjing city to host 1,100 trees and a combination of 2,500 plants and shrubs. Expected to be complete by 2018, the project aims at absorbing enough carbon dioxide to produce 60 kilograms of oxygen every day. Vertical forests already exist in Italy and Switzerland.
