Veteran actor Anant Nag to receive Dadasaheb Phalke Award

Veteran actor Anant Nag, known for 'Malgudi Days', will be honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the Indian government's highest award for contribution to Indian cinema, on September 22. PM Narendra Modi congratulated Nag and wrote, "This is indeed a richly deserved honour for a truly distinguished artist." Anant Nag has worked in over 300 films, including 250 Kannada movies.
