Veteran actor Antony Sher passes away aged 72 due to cancer

Veteran British actor Antony Sher passed away aged 72 due to cancer, the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) said. Antony was known for playing roles in several Shakespearean plays. "We are deeply saddened by this news and our thoughts and sincere condolences are with Greg (Antony's husband)...He was deeply loved...by so many colleagues," RSC Executive Director Catherine Mallyon said.
