Journalist and BJP leader Balbir Punj passed away on Saturday at the age of 76. Punj began his professional journey in 1971 with the daily newspaper The Motherland. He worked at Financial Express from 1974 to 1996. He also served as a Rajya Sabha MP. Paying tributes, PM Narendra Modi described him as a prolific writer, thinker, and public intellectual.
