Veteran Indian journalist BG Verghese passed away at 87 on Tuesday evening, in Gurgaon at his son's residence. Verghese was a Ramon Magsaysay award winner and also an information advisor to former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. He was also the former editor of a popular daily. The cremation will take place on Jan-1.
