Veteran Kannada actor R Vijaykumar passes away at 77

Veteran Kannada actor R Vijaykumar, known by his stage name Sarigama Viji, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 77. The actor, who had been undergoing treatment for a lung infection, died of multiple organ failure, his son Rohit told PTI. He acted in 269 Kannada films and worked as an assistant director in close to 80 films.
