Veteran SAD leader Ranjit Singh Brahmpura dies at 85

Veteran Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Ranjit Singh Brahmpura died in Chandigarh on Tuesday after a prolonged illness. He was 85. Brahmpura was hospitalised at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research for the last few days. His body was taken to his native village of Brahmpur in Tarn Taran district. He will be cremated there on Wednesday.
