Vi signs $3.6-bn network tool deal with Nokia, Ericsson, Samsung

Vodafone Idea (Vi) on Sunday said it has signed a deal worth $3.6 billion with Nokia, Ericsson and Samsung for supply of network equipment over three years. The deal marks the first step towards Vi's $6.6 billion capex plan. The plan aims to expand 4G population coverage from 1.03 billion to 1.2 billion, launch 5G in key markets and more.
