Vice-Admiral Dinesh Tripathi has been appointed as the next CNS

Vice-Admiral Dinesh Tripathi has been appointed as the next Chief of the Naval Staff, succeeding Admiral R Hari Kumar, who will retire from service on April 30. Tripathi is an accomplished naval officer with a distinguished career spanning nearly 39 years. He has served on frontline warships as a signal communication officer and electronic warfare officer.
