Video: Difference between Hurricane, Cyclone, Typhoon
A minute-long video explains the difference between a Hurricane, Cyclone and Typhoon. The three storms differ by their points of origin with the term 'Hurricane' used in the Atlantic, central and north-east Pacific, 'Typhoon' in the north-west Pacific and 'Cyclone' in the Indian Ocean. Storms in the Northern Hemisphere rotate counter-clockwise, whereas, they rotate clockwise in the south.
