Video of pet dog beaten to death by healthcare worker in China sparks criticism

Authorities in China are facing criticism after a video showed a corgi being beaten to death by a healthcare worker in locked-down city of Shanghai. The dog's owners tested COVID-19 positive and were taken to a quarantine centre. The corgi chased the van for a short distance as it left, after which the worker hit the dog with a spade.
