Vietnam emerging as low-cost manufacturing hub in Asia: EIU report

Vietnam is emerging as a low-cost manufacturing hub in Asian supply chains, beating China and India in certain indicators, according to Economist Intelligence Unit's report. Vietnam scored six out of 10 in FDI policy while India and China scored 5.5 each. India scored 5.5 in foreign trade and exchange controls, while Vietnam scored 7.3 and China 6.4, the report said.
