Vietnam flight suffers tail strike, 4 burst tyres as speed drops twice during take-off

A Vietnam Airlines flight suffered a tail strike after its speed dropped twice during take-off from Munich, Germany, on August 15. The Hanoi-bound Boeing 787-9 safely returned to Munich Airport after circling at around 9,000 feet for nearly two hours and suffering four burst tyres. The pilots also had to dump fuel to reduce the aircraft’s weight before landing.
