Vijay pressurised to pick Tamil director for last film: Gopichand

Gopichand Malineni claimed that Thalapathy Vijay, who's set to enter politics, was pressured to select a Tamil director for his last film. The filmmaker recalled how Vijay was ready to announce a script he pitched, but "people pressured him to opt for Tamil director rather than Telugu one". Karthik Subbaraj also previously pitched Vijay an offer that didn't work out.
