Former Asian Champion Shiva Thapa (56 kg) defeated Algeria's Khalil Litim 3-0 to enter the pre-quarters of the World Boxing Championships on Monday. Asian silver medallist Vikas Krishan (75kg) also sailed into the last-16 stage after defeating Hungary's Zoltan Harcsa 3-0. However, boxer Manoj Kumar (64kg) crashed out of the tournament after suffering a 1-2 defeat against Moroccan Abdelhak Aatakni.
