Vikram Misri, ex-envoy to China, appointed as Deputy NSA

Vikram Misri, who returned to India last week after completing his stint as the Ambassador to China, has been appointed as the Deputy National Security Advisor on Monday. He will replace Pankaj Saran whose tenure as Deputy NSA ends on December 31. Misri is a career diplomat from the 1989 batch of the Indian Foreign Service.
