Village in Italy welcomes 1st baby in 30 years

Pagliara dei Marsi, a mountain village in Italy, has welcomed its first baby, a girl, in 30 years. Her birth brought the village's population to nearly 20. The baby girl's baptism ceremony was attended by entire village. According to the national statistics agency, the number of births in Italy fell to 369,944 in 2024, the lowest level ever recorded.
