Village that walked 1.5 km for water now extracts 500 litres daily from air
The residents of Maharashtra's Wadji village, who once travelled 1.5 km to fetch water, now use Meghdoot technology to produce 500 litres of purified water daily from atmospheric moisture. The system cools air to its dew point, causing moisture to condense into liquid water. Reportedly, Wadji is the only village in Maharashtra to have adopted this technology.
