Vineet Joshi, removed as Higher Education Secretary, was NTA's first DG and two-time CBSE chief

Vineet Joshi, who has been removed as Higher Education Secretary, previously served as the first Director-General of National Testing Agency (NTA) and as CBSE Chairman twice. A senior 1992-batch IAS officer, he has now been appointed Secretary in Panchayati Raj Ministry. Notably, NTA is the body responsible for conducting several entrance examinations in India, including NEET and JEE.
