Vinesh Phogat 1st Indian woman to reach Olympics finals in wrestling: PM Modi to athletes

While interacting with athletes who represented India in 2024 Paris Olympics, PM Narendra Modi said that Vinesh Phogat has become the first Indian woman to reach finals in wrestling. "This is a matter of great pride for us," PM Modi added. Phogat was disqualified from 50 kg wrestling final for being 100 grams overweight, following which she announced her retirement.
