Vinesh Phogat out of Asian Games contention after semi-final loss in trials

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat is out of Asian Games contention after losing 4-6 to Meenakshi Goyat in women's 53kg event semi-finals at Asian Games 2026 selection trials in Delhi on Saturday. Vinesh was making her comeback to wrestling after around two years. The WFI earlier banned her from the tournament due to alleged violations, however, Supreme Court allowed her to participate.
