VinFast stops making 3 SUVs in India just a year after market entry: Report

Loss-making Vietnamese EV maker VinFast has temporarily suspended plans to manufacture its VF3, VF6 and VF7 SUVs in India, Reuters reported. The company failed to meet planned cost targets for developing the cars' parts in India, which it currently imports as kits from Vietnam and assembles in Tamil Nadu (for VF6 and VF7). VinFast launched in India in September 2025.
