Violent communal clashes hit Bengal's Murshidabad; prohibitory orders imposed

Prohibitory orders were imposed in West Bengal's Murshidabad after violent communal clashes broke out allegedly over a signboard at a Kartik Puja pandal. "Several persons have been injured and several detained," police said. BJP's Amit Malviya said, "Muslims attacked Hindu houses in Murshidabad's Beldanga. Mamata Banerjee's police remains a mute spectator."
