Visuals showing heavy snowfall in Ladakh's Kargil have surfaced online. The snow covered streets, rooftops and open landscapes, bringing a sharp drop in temperatures. Locals and tourists woke up to snow-covered surroundings. "The meteorological department has issued an advisory for very heavy snowfall...We are seeing such a kind of snowfall after a long dry spell," a local said.
